The WTA will hold a meeting on 21 June about the worldwide campaign which also includes players and members of the coaching and management sectors.
Participants will be asked to “embrace and share the significant value associated with vaccination” and participants will be asked to support World Tennis’s ongoing efforts to encourage vaccination in line with the WTA’s own and players’ personal health and safety interests.
“All players must have a ‘Service Right’ between their main draw opponent and the first-round match that they are about to play,” WTA chief Kristina Mladenovic said.
“By joining with World Tennis to encourage vaccination, we will be supporting players’ health in this extremely important way.”
