Is Kamala Harris actually making food for high-end restaurants in Paris?

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sen. Kamala Harris visited a Parisian kitchen store with a cool price tag and it seems she didn’t leave with a new faucet.

The California Democrat, who’s frequently touted her kitchen skills while addressing the Senate, purchased expensive cookware in Paris and enjoyed her meal at a private room near the Eiffel Tower, according to a Buzzfeed News report.

It is not clear what the black kitchen appliances cost or if she ate at any of the restaurant’s many restaurants, many of which have high price tags.

On Tuesday, the Sacramento Bee reported that she also stopped by Eataly, a tourist attraction and grocery store that sells pre-made meals in its shops.

Harris, who is on the short list of possible 2020 presidential contenders, has not commented publicly on either visit.

Her spokesman, Eleni Tsakopoulos, who lives in Paris, sent a statement saying Harris is in Europe for two weeks to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

“She will also give a speech at that conference, and will have meetings with foreign leaders as well as various other meetings and events,” Tsakopoulos said in the statement.

While in France, Harris has been focusing on international policy and diplomacy, including meeting with leaders in Europe. In Britain, she met with Commonwealth heads of government and Germany’s chancellor.

The senator is taking a recess day Wednesday and was scheduled to attend a program in Carcassonne with France’s foreign minister Jean-Yves Le Drian.

She’s also scheduled to meet French President Emmanuel Macron.

Harris’s busy European schedule has many wondering what, if anything, she will discuss with President Donald Trump when they meet for the first time later this month.

Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia, Harris’ likely rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, was in Washington D.C. on Monday for work and then made his way to the International Spy Museum in downtown.

According to the museum, he brought his wife, Dorothy, and children Jacqueline and Nicholas for an educational experience and to celebrate Russian Whistleblower Marina Skoropadskaya, who was imprisoned during Soviet time for exposing Communist atrocities.

Sen. Tammy Duckworth of Illinois did not appear to be in town and did not take a Capitol Hill event.

One fun event said to be held was the opening of the new film “Duplicity” starring Clive Owen and Julia Roberts. Many were dressed up in costumes from the movie.
