“That sucks,” said comedy star Seth Rogen, as he posed with a bouquet of flowers, on Instagram after a spate of car burglaries marred his trip to Los Angeles this week.
The 34-year-old and his wife Lauren Miller flew into Los Angeles from New York earlier this week, only to learn that three expensive cars were broken into on the way to the airport, and a fourth was broken into a few hours later.
In a video posted on his account, the Knocked Up star blamed being in the city for the burglaries, saying that burglars would probably have been less keen to crack the car if he and his wife hadn’t been in town.

“It’s called living in a big city,” said Rogen. “God bless the LAPD, though.”
Several other celebrities have shared similar posts on Instagram, among them, Zac Efron, Brooklyn Decker, Jack Black, and Kristen Bell.
The LAPD, too, has been rallying support from the community. One police officer posted a picture of himself in San Diego, with what looks like loot from the four burglaries in a braids box.
“This was the #LAPD reward for the home burglary where 3 cars were stolen, 1 after 4pm and 1 after 6pm on 4th of January,” wrote the LAPD officer. “If you recognize the suspects, give us a call.”
There are reports of burglaries in LA’s Westwood, Bel Air, and West Hollywood neighborhoods.
